Binibining Pilipinas to Drop Miss Grand International Franchise?

After Stella Marquez-Araneta put an end on the issue about the Miss Universe Philippines franchise will no longer stay under the Bb. Pilipinas organization, another speculation arouse from the pageant world as to the organization will drop one franchise under its helm which according to some reports it will be the Miss Grand International pageant.

The speculations become an intrigue news to the pageant fans when Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2018, Eva Psychee Patalinjug told the media press during the send-off conference of Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018, Karen Gallman held last Thursday, January 3, that she hopes to have her farewell walk and pass on her crown in the upcoming Bb. Pilipinas 2019 pageant which will be held in the coming months.

“I have seen the news but I don’t have any knowledge about it yet” the beauty queen said.

“I really hope I get to turn my crown… I hope I can have one last farewell walk”

The Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) acquired the franchise of the Miss Grand International pageant on August 2015 where they appointed Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014, Parul Shah as the country’s representative to the said pageant and finished third runner-up during her stint in the same year in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the next years, the organization crowned smart, beautiful and high caliber queens such as Nicole Cordoves who finished first runner-up in 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada and Elizabeth Clenci who finished second runner-up in 2017 in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

But when our representative, Eva Patalinjug failed to enter the first cut of the semifinals and the controversial apology video of its president, Nawat Itsaragil, the fans expressed their dismay and disappointment towards the organization and they want the Bb. Pilipinas to drop its franchise.

There were no confirmations about this rumor and the BPCI does not release an official statement yet.

According also to some reports, BPCI will release the details for the 2019 applications in a few weeks.
