Pageant season has begun with beauty camp Aces and Queens announcing the 11 ladies for this year’s batch that will compete in the Miss Universe Philippines.
The 11 comprised of newbies and returnees with some winning their provincial pageants. Here are this year’s girls who will compete.
The newbies
Dorothy Marie Gemillan
Dorothy, 23 is a 3rd year nursing student at Central Philippines University. She was recently crowned as Miss Iloilo-Universe and will try to duplicate the success of Rabiya Mateo, who won the Miss Universe title in 2020.

Sashi Chiesa
Sachi is a 26-year-old Filipino-Swiss model who won the 1st runner-up in the Miss Mandaue competition in 2017. She is an aspiring actress and wrote a screenplay that will be made into a movie soon. She also got a chance to work as an assistant director on a movie set.
Sachi has also modeled in places such as LA, Manila, London, and New York and appeared in an international ad.

Chantal Elise Schmidt
Chantal is the second tallest in this year’s batch of girls from Aces and Queens. She is half-German and currently taking Law online at a German University.
Chantal has been modeling since the age of 16 and will represent Cebu City when she competes in her first national pageant. She is currently under the management of Origin Models, the same agency that handles the modeling careers of Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 Bea Gomez and Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados.

IvyLou Bourbon
Ivy is a Tourism graduate from St. Louis University and will represent Pangasinan in her first national pageant. She participated in local pageants such as 2017 Limgas na Pangasinan Tourism, 2018 Miss Baguio 1st runner-up, and 2018 Miss Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio.

Vanessa Caro
Vanessa first competed in Miss Iloilo 2016 where she won. She took her Master’s degree in New York and has decided to plunge into the national pageant scene. She will be representing Iloilo Province.

Annabelle McDonell
Annabelle is no stranger to the local pageant scene. She recently was crowned as Miss Kuyamis 2022 and also won several titles such as Miss Lanao del Norte 2019 and a runner-up in the Miss Millenial competition of Eat Bulaga. She will be representing Misamis Oriental when she joins the national pageant soon.

The returnees
Pauline Amelinckx
The Bohalana-Belgian is back after a year break. Pauline first competed in Mutya ng Pilipinas but was unable to compete in her international pageant. she tried her luck in the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines where she placed 3rd runner-up.
Pauline is coming back and hopes to finally nab a crown.

Lou Dominique Piczon
Lou, who won Best in Runway and Best in National Costume at the inaugural Miss Universe Philippines is also back for a second try. She will represent Cebu Province this time and hopes to continue the Cebuana winning streak in the national scene.

Isabelle Braza
Isabelle Braza first competed in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant where she made it as part of the 75 candidates. For her second try, Isabelle hopes this time to make the final cut.

Jedidah Korinihona
Another candidate lat year making a comeback is Jedidah Korinihona of Davao del Sur. Jedidah took up a Management degree in Australia and played volleyball for five years

Julia Saubier
After competing in Binibining Pilipinas 2019, Julia is back this time for another try in the nationals. The 27-year-old Filipino-French beauty is currently based in London where she has been doing a series of auditions after attending acting school. She recently announced that she is filming a movie in Scotland.
