Karolina Bielawska of Poland was crowned as the new Miss World on Thursday, March 17 Manila time at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in Puerto Rico.
Karolina succeeded Jamaica’s Toni Ann Singh, who was the long-reigning titleholder after the pageant was postponed twice due to COVID-19.
The first runner-up was USA’s Shree Saini, who also got the Beauty with a Purpose ambassador title and will travel with Karolina around the world.
Cote d Ivoire’s Olivia Yace, who was a heavy favorite for the contest came in second place.
Other finalists include Mexico, Indonesia, and Northern Ireland.
Karolina is the second Polish to win the title. Aneta Kręglicka first won the title back in 1989.
The Philippines’ Tracy Maureen Perez ended her journey with the Top 13 placement.
