Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez made a quick stop to Cebu before she flew back to Puerto Rico for the competition scheduled on March 17 Manila time.
Tracy released the video of her visit on Monday, March 14 wherein she talked about how Cebu was badly affected by typhoon Odette. Together with some donors, she and her team were able to assist and give relief goods to three communities as well as the single moms from her Beauty with a Purpose Project Para Kay Nanay.
“Para kay Nanay, patuloy akong magsisilbi. For my mother, i will always be of service,” she said.
For her late mom Chona
In several interviews, Tracy has been open about dedicating her journey in Miss World to her late mom Chona, who was also a beauty queen in her time.
“It gives them hope that they can still go out there and learn new things and build a good life for their families. Because that’s what I want for them, that’s what they deserve, and that’s what I would have wanted for my mom if she was still here. That is my commitment, that is my dream,” she said.
Tracy hopes to bring the second blue crown to the country and follow in the footsteps of Megan Young who won it back in 2013.
