This year is probably Cebu’s year in pageantry. After the wins of Bea Gomez and Tracy Maureen Perez, another Cebuana, Shaila Rebortera also took home a crown as the country’s representative to the Miss Multinational pageant in India scheduled for 2022.
Shaila, a dentist by profession is no stranger to pageantry. She has participated in several competitions including Eat Bulaga’s Miss Millennial and was a Sinulog Queen.

Sinulog Queen and Miss Millennial
In an Instagram post, Shaila shared that she has joined some local pageants. But it was her stint as Miss Millennial and Sinulog Queen that got everyone talking about her around the Philippines.
Miss World Philippines 2021
In May, Shaila was one of those who took part in the screening for the Miss World Philippines. In an Instagram post, she wrote: “Can’t wait to share this journey with all of you. More than anything, I’m excited to have a bigger platform for the causes I’ve been working on since I was 18. Join me in making the world a better place, one smile at a time.”
Shaila was also a guest in the Qrown Conversations along with Julie Tarrayo and Tatyana Austria, who won as Miss Eco Teen Philippines. In the interview, Shaila explained her reason for joining Miss World Philippines.

Gala Night
Last July, Shaila took part in the Gala Night held in Okada Manila. She also entered the talent competition and did a Sinulog dance number.
Finals Night
During the finals night last October 3, Shaila showed the audience and judges why she deserved one of the crowns.
For her final Q and A, Shaila got presidential spokesman Harry Roque, who asked her about her thoughts on whether a woman, who was leading in the presidential race should run for the highest post despite balancing a family.
After waiting for so long, Shaila was crowned Miss Multinational Philippines 2021. She will represent the Philippines in the pageant in India next year.
