Gwendolyne Fourniol of Negros Occidental was crowned as the new Miss World Philippines 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena early Monday, June 6.

Gwen succeeds Tracy Maureen Perez of Cebu, who placed as part of the Top 12 in the competition held in Puerto Rico last March.

She will try to get the second crown for the country since Megan Young’s win in 2013.

Other winners are:

• Beatriz McLelland – Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2022
• Ingrid Santamaria – Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2022
• Justine Felizarta – Miss World Philippines Tourism and 1st princess 2022
• Cassandra Chan – Miss World Philippines Charity and 2nd princess 2022

This is the second time Gwen tried out for the pageant. The first was last year when she was a finalist.
