After much speculation, the Miss Universe Organization is now under new management. After being under IMG since 2015, Thai businesswoman Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatipo, who owns the JKN Global Group is now the owner organization, which also includes the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.
The announcement was made last Thursday in Thailand. Paula Shugart will still be the Miss Universe Organization president while Amy Emmerich will continue serving as CEO of the organization.
Aside from Anne, it was also announced that Tawn Chatchavalvong will serve as the creative director.
During the announcement, Anne announced that there will be a lot of changes beginning the 72nd edition. Other announcements include a cosmetics brand and a new crown to be made by Mouawad.
A gala night is also scheduled this November where selected queens will come for the event. The 72nd edition is set to be held during the 4th quarter of 2023.
