Actress Marian Rivera got a chance to sit down with Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez after competing in the Miss Universe pageant, where Marian was a judge and Bea represented the country in Eilat, Israel.
In the documentary Miss U: The Journey to the Promise Land aired on Saturday, May 7, Marian got a chance to ask Bea the question she had if she was given a chance to ask. Bea was asked by Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere during the Final 5 Q and A.
“There’s so much false information on the internet. What steps can be taken to deal with this problem?” Marian asked.
“All of us has control with technology. And we have so much access with social media. What’s important is that we learn to use it responsibly and it’s up to us to verify the information we get and filter the ones that are false,” Bea said with Marian cheering her after.
Aside from Bea’s interview, Marian also got to tour Israel and meet a Filipina named Jenny who has been working as a caregiver. The documentary was directed by Marian’s husband, actor Dingdong Dantes who was with her during the trip. The documentary was aired as an advance Mother’s Day special.

Marian’s Miss Universe moment

The documentary also chronicled a different side of Marian rarely seen on television as she talked about her relationship with her grandmother and mom.
It was in December when Marian confirmed that she was invited to judge the pageant. She joins a long list of Filipinos including Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, singer Kuh Ledesma, and international star Lea Salonga who were invited to be part of the selection committee.
India’s Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned as Miss Universe 2021 and recently came to Manila where she helped Bea crown the new winner, Celeste Cortesi.
Miss U: The Journey to the Promise Land will have a replay on Sunday, May 8 via GTV and Heart of Asia.
