It was a sandwich victory for Cebu, who last won the crown in 2019 courtesy of Gazini Ganados when it was still under Binibining Pilipinas.
Another Cebuana, Steffi Aberasturi of Cebu Province was crowned as 2nd runner-up.
Prior to winning Miss Universe Philippines, Bea was considered by many as a dark horse in the competition. Bea, who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community will represent the country in the pageant to be held in Israel this December.

Headshot challenge
Bea was one of the 100 girls who made it to the 100 candidates. For the first challenge, they had to submit a headshot photo.
Swimsuit photo
Bea was also one of the candidates who submitted a swimsuit photo. A lot of fans started to pay attention to her.
Runway challenge
Bea, who also works as a top model in Cebu showed her catwalk skills during the runway challenge.

National Costume
Bea wore the Carnival Queen-inspired costume designed by Axel Que called “Bakunawa.”
The Preliminary competition
For the swimsuit competition, Bea wore a one-piece swimsuit by designer Mikee Andrei under the Paulina line.
For the evening gown, she wore a red number by Furne Amato.
She also wore another swimsuit under the Paulina line during the pictorial at the poolside of Hennan Resort.

Bea then quickly changed into a SHEIN dress.
After Bea was called as part of the TOP 16, she sashayed down the runway in a red swimsuit with a cape and accessories.
For the evening gown, she wore a blue Furne Amato creation.
Bea is the first openly gay and member of the LGBTQ+ community to be Miss Universe Philippines.
