Mutya ng Pilipinas announced on Wednesday, February 15 that they’ve forged ties once again with the Miss Intercontinental Organization.

In a statement, Fred Yuson, chairman of MNP said they are happy to tie up with the MIO organization.

” In 2019 on our, 51st Mutya ng Pilipinas edition, I made a commitment towards MNP’s growth and expansion. Today is the day with the announcement of our formal ties with MIO.”

Cory Quirino, MNP president also said that they’re looking forward to working with MIO again.

“We welcome MIO with open arms and look forward to a great year in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2023. Pageant fans should expect much enthusiasm and excitement this year and hopefully in the years to come.”

It was also announced that Mutya ng Pilipinas winner Iona Gibb will be the country’s representative in the pageant sometime in 2023.

Prior to returning to Mutya ng Pilipinas, the Miss Intercontinental Philippines was under Binibining Pilipinas, which has sent girls since 2014. Under BPCI, it had two winners – Karen Gallman in 2018 and Cindy Obeñita in 2021.
