Roberta Angela “Roan” Tamondong was announced as the new 5th runner-up of Miss Grand International on Sunday, October 30. The organization confirmed the news on its social media pages.
“Miss Grand International Organization would like to announce the appointment of Roberta Angela Tamondong, Miss Grand Philippines 2022 as the new 5th runner-up of Miss Grand International 2022. She will be a part of the Top10 and will continue her mission with the MGI team for a year.”
Roan also confirmed the news on her Instagram account which was connected to the MGI announcement.
Roan was originally part of the Top 20. She replaces Mauritius’ Yuvna Rinishta, who resigned from her position after she and her organization were unhappy with the values of the Miss Grand International Organization.
Brazil’s Isabella Menin was crowned as the new Miss Grand International winner last October 25.
