Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 (MAPI 2019) celebrates its 51st anniversary by taking the pageant to a higher and fiercer level. The organization’s massive driving force is its core advocacy of bringing women from all walks of life, and show diversity from around the world.
This year, fifty-five inspiring, young women will take part in Miss Asia Pacific International 2019: #LoveTheDifference. MAPI banners #LoveTheDifference putting essence in celebrating individuality and promoting and recognizing diversity in all forms.
President Jacqueline Tan stresses, “As a pageant organization, we take pride in our advocacy because we believe that true beauty lies in the camaraderie of women – when you see them together and them recognizing their differences. We want MAPI to be a venue for the world to realize that women can achieve their highest potentials, not in spite of their differences, but because of it.”
This year, Miss Asia Pacific International organization is cooking up a more interactive way for the candidates to show their appreciation of this year’s theme.
Continental Queens will be chosen to be the ambassador of their continents via pre-submitted videos. Here, they will present their personal advocacy, and its relation to the organization’s advocacy. Winners of this round advance to the Top 25.
The best performers in National Costume, Swimsuit, Evening Gown and the continental queens will be announced on October 4 and 5, 2019 at the PICC Summit Halls.
On October 09, 2019 – the pageant will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.
Sharifa Akeel, last year’s winner, from the Philippines, will relinquish her crown.
Davao’s Klyza Castro will represent the Philippines in this year’s competition.
