Throughout Cindy Obeñita’s pageant journey, there was one other person who was a witness to her growth – Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 Emma Mary Tiglao.
On Saturday, October 30, Emma, now a newscaster for Net 25 posted a message to her successor after Cindy won the title in Egypt. Emma was a judge in several pageants that Cindy took part in before competing in Bb Pilipinas last July.
“I’m just soooooo proud of you Queen,” Emma wrote on Instagram. ” Nakakatuwa na makita at mawitness ang pageant journey mo. From Miss Camiguin to Miss Cagayan De Oro to Binibining Pilipinas and now our Miss Intercontinental. Sa totoo lang parang nanalo na din ako.”
“Thank you @cindyobenita for raising our flag. Your story is such an inspiration. Hope to see you soon. Always here for you.”
On Saturday, October 30, Cindy became the country’s second Miss Intercontinental winner succeeding Fani Miko of Hungary. Karen Gallman first won the title in 2018.
